At Sprout, we believe in the philosophy of Whole Language Approach to the teaching of Chinese language, where learning is a cognitive experience unique to each learner’s own perspective and prior knowledge. We respect and accept the unique nature of each child, and strive to bring out the best in every child through love and care. We seek to provide a natural, authentic and holistic learning environment, where language acquisition best takes place in.  We place emphasis on the quality of learning, that learning should not be a means to an end, but an end in itself, where the essence lies in the process of inquiry and learning, and not just results

Prepare & Excite

At Sprout, the classroom is a garden, the students are seedlings and the teacher is the gardener. Each time students enter the garden, it is the responsibility of the teacher to prepare and excite students through interesting activities.

Sow the seeds of learning

To sow the seeds of learning, we use different questioning strategies or set the real situation task. Students’ learning ability is strengthened.

Scaffold、Check、Evaluate & Adjust

Some students will blossom early and others later. Some will require extra attention and some will need additional encouragement. Our teachers scaffold students’ learning, check and evaluate on their progress, and adjust according to their learning needs.
